Our innovative approach to recruitment makes us stand out above regular recruitment agencies which take a reactive approach to finding staff. While other recruiters rely on advertising jobs then hoping the best candidates will apply, we are actively engaged with our large database of gaming and betting talent and invest heavily in consulting them.
Our vast network of contacts in the sector means that we’re connected to a large pool of talent that has specialist gaming experience and expertise. It also means we’re the first place many of the leading gaming brands turn to whether they need an experienced director or a graduate trainee working in any discipline.
We focus on offering a consultative service to our candidates, which means we gain their trust and loyalty as well as getting them to pay attention to our clients’ job advertisements.
Past, present and future
BetRecruit was established in 2006. The business was formed out of ILC; a recruitment company operating within language recruitment across Europe. Laura Zapala, who worked for ILC as a Recruitment Consultant, formalised and co-founded BetRecruit to develop and extend our services to ILC’s betting clients.
As part of a larger group of recruitment businesses, BetRecruit benefits from shared internal resources such as IT, marketing and legal support. In particular, access to the unique 80,000+ language speakers across Europe (ILC) is a valuable tool in the war for talent within the European online betting and gaming sector. BetRecruit currently has a bespoke, proprietary database of 14,000+ gaming-specific candidates, used in addition to the ILC database.
Moving forward, we are planning for consolidation of our London-based business before developing new offices into other European gaming hubs. We continue to actively search for talented individuals; either at a graduate level where we can invest in a long-term career at BetRecruit, or top-tier experienced gaming consultants.
