The Company:
Our client, who are specialists in statistical analysis and data mining across a range of niche markets, urgently require a Production DBA to join the team in Malta.

The Role:
" Enterprise scale data warehousing and trading system support
" Database analysis, development and configuration, performance monitoring and tuning.
" Ensure optimal performance, reliability, security and availability of database environments
" Development, deployment and monitoring of databases and data warehouses
" Developing complex stored procedures & reporting


Candidate Profile:
Skills:
" Exceptional SQL programming skills
" Excellent written and verbal communication skills
" Trouble-shooting, problem-solving and issue resolution experience
" Experience with database performance tuning

Experience:
" Must have worked in a structured development environment and be comfortable in a less-structured one
" Experience in a replicated, clustered environment
" SQL Server 2000 / 2005 / 2008 - 5 years +
" T-SQL - 5 years +
" n-Tier architecture knowledge - 5 years +
" Practical SDLC experience
" Experience in a high performance, high up time SQL server production environment
