Purpose
The purpose of this role will be to design and implement Quantitative applications that support critical business processes. The main tasks / responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Implementing mathematical models for company products and business processes;
- Developing and enhancing in house applications for trading;
- Liaising with Quantitative Analysts and other team members including other developers and Quantitative Assistants to maintain and understand user requirements;
- Work with Quant Assistants and other internal users and stakeholders on the testing and delivery of applications;
- Participate in the full development lifecycle.
Professional expertise
- Minimum of a Batchelor degree in Computer Engineering or Mathematics / Statistics related subject;
- Ideally 3 to 6 years hands on industry experience. Experience is not limited to financial industry or gaming industry. Strong technologist from technology house or companies in video gaming, data mining, scientific research or alike can be considered.
- The candidate needs to demonstrate ability to deal with sophisticated technical problems and/or handling large volume of complex data.
- Strong experience of Java and C++ programming;
- Experience and expertise in multi-threaded, multi-tiered , heavy throughput system; Strong database techniques;
- Knowledge of matlab or modelling and statistical packages is also relevant;
